fNIRS 2026 is one year away, and we are happy to start the countdown by revealing the official meeting logo.

The logo was created to reflect both the science of fNIRS and the character of Macau. The two brain hemispheres and the central signal line refer to how fNIRS is used to study brain activity through light in the near infrared range. The background uses colors from the visible spectrum, to make that idea of light feel more immediate and more alive. At the center is the Macau Tower, and along the base is a skyline that brings together landmarks of Macau and signature buildings from the University of Macau, which will host the meeting. The intention was to show fNIRS, the brain, and Macau in one image as we begin the countdown to fNIRS 2026.
We look forward to welcoming you to Macau, China in 2026.
